Two dishes of the Italian culinary tradition, Ribollita from Tuscany and Maltagliati from Ravenna, are the protagonists of two virtual learning workshops organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in Los Angeles in collaboration with Lingua Viva and Eataly Los Angeles. This initiative is part of the 6th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World and for the celebrations in memory of Dante, at the places in Tuscany and Emilia Romagna where the Supreme Poet lived and worked.
Theworkshop on”Traditional Tuscany: Ribollita” took place today, 16 November. The workshop on “The real Ravenna: Maltagliati with ‘fake sauce’ ” is scheduled for tomorrow, 17 November.
The theme of the 2021 edition of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, which will be held from 15 to 21 November 2021, is “Tradition and perspectives of Italian cuisine: awareness and enhancement of food sustainability”. This is an international initiative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation aimed at promoting the quality and heritage of Italian cuisine as distinctive signs of our identity and culture, and at mutually developing trade and tourism.
