Spain – Salamanca celebrates 500th anniversary of Machiavelli’s The Prince

Salamanca celebrated the 500th anniversary of Machiavelli’s The Prince with two days of conferences and debates involving the University’s Departments of Philosophy, Law, Philology, History and Geography. Canberra -The ‘Mappa del mondo’ of Fra Mauro on display

The precious mid-15th century “Mappa del Mondo” by Fra Mauro, left Venice’s Biblioteca Marciana for the exhibition “Mapping Our World: Terra Incognita to Autralian” in Canberra, where it will remain on display at the National Library of Australia through 10 March 2014, its first ever exhibition abroad. Lima – Prizes for Italian tales and poetry

The award ceremony for the first “Jorge Puccinelli” literary competition for short stories and poetry written in Italian by the local students of the “Antonio Raimondi” school, was held at Lima’s Pirandello Theatre.
