Argentina – Books a cultural bridge

“Books as a cultural bridge between Italy, Argentina and Europe”, is the title of a book presented at the Italian Cultural Institute of Buenos Aires during the Week of Italian Culture. Speakers at the event included sociologist and professor at the Universidad Nacional di Buenos Aires Esteban De Gori, historian and philosopher and professor at Rome’s Università La Sapienza and the University of Camerino Alberto Filippi, and historian and philosopher and professor at the Institute of International Relations of the dell’Universidad Nacional de La Plata Franco Quinziano.


Anniversary of “Dei delitti e delle pene”


Discussions included the multiple aspects of publishing and its link with innovation and the forging of lasting bonds between European cultures and those of Latin America. The event also took place during commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the first publication of “Dei delitti e delle penne” by Cesare Beccaria, which was celebrated by the Institute with the presentation of a new edition of the book featuring a preface by Sergio Garcia Ramirez.
