Tripoli attack: Gentiloni cites attempt to boycott Geneva peace talks

Minister Paolo Gentiloni, in Rabat on a two-day mission, commented on the attack on a hotel in Tripoli, Libya, calling it “an attempt to boycott, disrupt and negatively influence the efforts under way in Geneva toward reconciling the parties to the Libyan conflict”.

‘Mediation will not be obstructed by terrorism’
The minister added that this was “further evidence of how dangerous the situation in the region is”, and that “the international community must firmly insist that such attempts at intimidation will not succeed and that mediation will not be obstructed by terrorism”.
