The Italian Consulate General in Chongqing recently participated in two events aimed at promoting Brand Italy: the International Tourism Carnival in Chongqing, which presented the Peninsula’s beautiful tourism destinations, and the Chengdu National Food, Wine and Spirits Fair, where almost a dozen Italian wine producers and importers were present at the Italian Pavilion. The Tourism Carnival, where Italy set up a national Pavilion, was held from 24 to 26 March in the city’s three lively Jiefangbei, Guanyinqiao and Nanping shopping districts. Made-in-Italy tourism was instead presented by the Italian Consulate General in Chongqing, in partnership with Visametric and the Itatour Travel Agency, disseminating tourist information to all the visitors interested, also on how to acquire a visa and on the flights available to Italy. From 23 to 25 March Chengdu hosted the 96th edition of the China Food and Drinks Fair, the world-renowned fair partially devoted to wine and spirits. The Italian Consulate General in Chongqing returned to the Chengdu Fair for the fourth time this year with an exceptional Pavilion: 11 wine producers displayed products from dozens of Italian winegrowers over a surface of 180 square meters.
