The ingredients of the Mediterranean diet produced in Apulia and Marche sail to Tirana for the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World. In Elbasan, Vlore, Berat and Tirana, the Region of Apulia presented the Apulian Life Style Project, a sustainable development model centred around the Mediterranean diet boosting the policies to promote production and protect the health of citizens. By contrast, the Marche Region proposed specific initiatives to promote vocational training through the “Tipicità Marche” (“Marche Typical Products”) mission. To achieve this end, they renewed the twinning between the Municipalities of Fermo and Berat. Throughout the Week of Italian Cuisine, the whole of Tirana enjoyed an itinerary of the numerous locations dedicated to ‘Italian-style Aperitif’ spread all over the city. The programme also included several cultural events organised by the Italian Cultural Institute, such as the concerts for the 150th anniversary of the death of Gioacchino Rossini, the famous Italian composers and a renowned gourmet and lover of the Italian culinary tradition.
