Minister Luigi Di Maio met the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed Taher Siyala who was in Rome to attend the Rome MED – Mediterranean Dialogues.
Minister Di Maio confirmed Italy’s support for the Libya’s Government of National Accord and the political process led by the United Nations, repeating that there could not be a military solution to the crisis. The two memorandums between the Government of National Accord and Turkey were also discussed, including in relation to their impact on the Berlin process.
