Today, Minister Luigi Di Maio met the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Aljubeir who was in Rome to attend the Med Dialogues 2019. He noted the opportunities open to Italy under the 2030 Vision Programme and emphasised the need to work together to remove the causes behind the current conflicts in the Gulf and seek lasting stability in the region.
The two ministers also spoke about calling the 12th session of the Italy – Saudi Arabia Joint Committee in 2020. The work will focus on economic cooperation, cultural relations, collaboration in the G20 in addition to certain regional matters”.
