Minister Di Maio gave the opening address at the High Level session of the Rome MED – Mediterranean Dialogues 2019 and had face-to-face meetings with his Saudi counterpart, Adel Al-Jubeir; Israeli counterpart, Israel Katz; Slovenian counterpart, Miroslav Cerar; Qatar counterpart, Mohammed Al Thani; and Algerian counterpart, Sabri Boukadoum.
Minister Luigi Di Maio also met the Special Representative of the UN for Libya, Ghassan Salamé and the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, Sergej Lavrov with whom he held a joint press conference.
