Food education and the culture of taste will be the theme of the initiatives on programme in Khartoum to celebrate the Italian Cuisine Week in the World which this year the Italian Embassy in Sudan has made concomitant to the Italian Language Week. Seminars, concerts and performances will contribute to promote the learning and dissemination of the Italian language and high-quality cuisine along with “Made in Italy” agri-food products. In Sudan, more than 200 students sign up to learn Italian every year, principally at the Comboni College for Science and Technology, but also at the University of Khartoum and at the El Neelain University. Some of the highlights of the programme are the concert titled “Italian On Stage: A musical Journey” by soprano Cristiana Arcari, accompanied by pianist Massimiliano Tisano, and the seminar titled “Italian On Stage: The Words of Entertainment”, held by Professor Andrea Palumbo for students of Italian.
