Meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation between Undersecretary Del Re and the Angolan Undersecretary of Railway Transport.
Today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Emanuela Del Re, met José Manuel Cerqueira, Secretary of State for Railway Transport for Angola.
The undersecretary expressed Italy’s support for the Angolan government in its economic-social development efforts, which contribute towards peace and security in Africa.
The purpose of the meeting was therefore to discuss opportunities for our companies in the transport area. The infrastructure projects form part of the strategic plan aimed at making Angola the “logistics platform of Austral Africa”.
Undersecretary Del Re also said that she would appreciate if the government could boost economic confidence by giving a concrete signal to some of our companies who already operate in the country, but who are still waiting on payments.
