Italian Cooperation Service sends humanitarian flight to Niger

Following the recent fighting in the Diffa region of Niger and in light of the requests for assistance for the displaced population made by the authorities in Niger, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Emanuela del Re, in cooperation with the Italian Air Force, has ordered a humanitarian flight to provide humanitarian assistance and transport relief supplies (tents, water purifiers, electricity generators, hygiene and medical aid) from the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot in Brindisi. The flight left today for Niamey.
