This morning, the Secretary-General of the Farnesina, Ambassador Ettore Francesco Sequi met the Azerbaijan Ambassador, Mammad Ahmadzada who has reached the end of his term of office in Rome after six years.
The Secretary-General informed Ambassador Ahmadzada of his satisfaction at the quality and intensity of the bilateral relations and thanked the Ambassador for the significant contribution made towards further strengthening the excellent relations between Italy and Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, Ambassador Sequi and Ambassador Ahmadzada exchanged views on the situation in the Caucasus, with Ambassador Sequi renewing Italy’s appeal to surmount current tensions and resume negotiations as quickly as possible.
