Commemorative ceremony for Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ fallen in World War I (4 November 2022)

Farnesina Secretary-General, Ambassador Ettore Francesco Sequi, visited Palazzo della Consulta today – together with Umberto Zingales, Secretary-General of the Constitutional Court – to pay tribute to the fallen of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in World War I.

During the memorial ceremony, which traditionally takes place on National Unity and Armed Forces Day, Ambassador Sequi and Mr Zingales paid tribute to the fallen by laying two laurel wreaths. They then observed a minute of silence before the commemorative plaques at the entrance of Palazzo della Consulta, which once housed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Colonies.
