Today, Tuesday, July 14, Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani will take part in the event organized at the Foreign Ministry “Moto d’Italia – Culture oltre la pista”, a sports diplomacy initiative dedicated to promoting motorcycling as an expression of Italian industrial, technological, sporting, and cultural excellence and a tool for promoting the country’s economic system internationally.

During the event, the docu-series produced in collaboration with MotoGP SEG, ANCMA, EICMA, the Italian Motorcycling Federation, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA), and the sector’s key sporting and industrial players will be presented. The project showcases the companies, regions, and expertise that make the motorcycle industry one of the most recognizable expressions of Made in Italy. Speakers will include Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group; Matteo Zoppas, President of the Italian Trade Agency; Giovanni Copioli, President of the Italian Motorcycling Federation; Mariano Roman, President of ANCMA; and Paolo Magri, CEO of EICMA, as well as many Italian champions.

The Italian motorcycle industry is one of the leading sectors of Made in Italy. In 2025 it recorded exports of approximately €2.8 billion, with a positive trade balance of about €650 million. In the first quarter of 2026, the sector confirmed its competitiveness, with exports of approximately €704 million and growth in components compared to the same period of 2025.

Minister Tajani will also award plaques to the new Ambassadors of Sports Diplomacy, thus acknowledging the contribution of champions and iconic entities of Italian motorcycling to promoting Italy’s image worldwide. The event will conclude with the opening of an exhibition dedicated to some iconic Italian motorcycles that played a leading role in Moto GP, in the year of Ducati’s centenary and the Vespa‘s eightieth anniversary.
