Italy-Costa Rica. Alfano meets with his counterpart, González Sanz

“The relations between Italy and Costa Rica are traditionally excellent and we have the common will to strengthen them, also through more opportunities in which to meet, dialogue and support each other. The dynamism of our bilateral relations is tangibly proven by the numerous agreements entered into from 2016 to date, especially during the official visit to Italy by the President of Costa Rica Solis in 2016, in different sectors (agricultural, agro-food, transports).”

The statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, following his meeting at the Farnesina with his counterpart from Costa Rica, Manuel González Sanz. The meeting, which was held on the sidelines of the the 8th Italy-Latin American and Caribbean Conference, focused on bilateral relations and also other international issues such as combating organised crime and managing migration flows.
