‘Il pasto della tarantola’ in Helsinki to celebrate the Italian Cuisine Week

Within the framework of the 4th Italian Cuisine Week in the World, the performance “Il pasto della tarantola”, organised by the Italian Cultural Institute in partnership with the Cantieri Teatrali Koreja, was staged at the Cable Factory-Performance Sirkus in Helsinki on 5-6 November. With a skilful mix of artistic performances and the presentation of typical food, the actresses-waitresses guided the audience through a journey to discover the traditional tastes of the Salento region, through bite-size tastes of mùscari, scapèce, dried tomatoes in oil, and Africano e Negroamaro wine. The performance is aimed at delivering “food education: the culture of taste”, as is the motto of this year’s Italian Cuisine Week in the World.
