The Italian Embassy in Zagreb has put together a lively and rich programme of events to celebrate the Italian Cuisine Week in the World.
This year’s edition will open with a food and wine event featuring Piero Di Turi, a world renown chef and professor at the International School of Italian Cuisine ALMA, which had master Gualtiero Marchesi as its Dean.
Di Turi, along with his colleague Stefano Cosattini, two-times holder of the Michelin Star, who has been working in Zagreb for several years, will craft an Italian menu based on typical Italian recipes and wines. The event will continue with cooking classes and a master class held by Chef Di Turi at the KUL Cooking School, in Sisak, involving all the students of the school and also a group of chefs based in Zagreb.
Furthermore, many restaurants across Croatia are taking part in the initiative and will offer Italian menus throughout the week. As a conclusion of the event, the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb will screen the documentary entitled “Leonardo da Vinci’s Wine”, followed by wine tastings of products coming from “Leonardo’s Vines”.
