A series of demonstrations at Palazzo Metternich in Vienna to celebrate Italy’s Cuisine Week in the World

An olive oil tasting course geared towards Austrian operators in the industry will kick off the programme of events. The course will be held by Marcello Scoccia, professional taster and vice president and panel leader of the Italian National Organisation of Olive Oil Tasters (ONAOO).  “From narration to taste in Italian cuisine”, an inspiring trip through the world of Italian food through the stories of Paolo Scotto from Castelbianco and dishes prepared by Chef Arcangelo Dandini will be the final event.

Ambassador Sergio Barbanti said that “Italian cuisine is a form of creative expression, so it is artistic, and this also explains the warm welcome given by our Austrian friends to our initiatives in this area since they appreciate the aesthetic taste”.

The Italian Embassy in Vienna will also take the opportunity to celebrate “Italy’s Cuisine Week in the World” and the numerous other promotional events planned to launch an awareness-raising campaign in aid of Venice for the Acqua alta emergency through solidarity contributions.
