Washington: cycling to Vancouver to raise funds for cancer research

“I was diagnosed with Leukemia less than four months ago,” explained 37-year-old Luigi Laraia, World Bank Advisor in Washington, who announced his intention to cycle from there to Vancouver to publicise his story and to raise awareness of the disease and funds for research aimed at defeating it for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. “My first chemotherapy cycle” – he added – “gave me the strength and determination I needed to set such as difficult goal”.
