Quito: San Francisco monastery management plan presented

An “Executive Management Plan” for the international integrated management and enhancement of the monastery of San Fransisco was presented in Ecuador. Italy joins a number of other country contributors with funding from the foreign ministry. The plan was drafted by a committee of experts coordinated by UNESCO and consists of four programmes: aimed at the conservation of art treasures, building preservation and enhancement, tourism development, and promotion of the monastery’s image.
