Ambassador of Italy to La Paz Luigi De Chiara recently attended the opening of the women’s section of the Qalauma rehabilitation centre, financed by the Italian Development Cooperation (DGCS) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of efforts to ensure better prisons in Bolivia. Other participants included Bolivian Minister for Justice Elizabeth Sandra Gutierrez Salazar, the Diocese of El Alto and the NGO heading up Project Mondo that built the centre. Read more, in Italian
