The Italian language week in Barcelona will begin with a tribute paid by the Italian Cultural Institute (IIC) to the style of Salvatore Ferragamo, a great craftsman and fashion designer and the favourite of some of the world’s most celebrated movie stars.
Stefania Ricci, Director of the Ferragamo Foundation Museum, which promotes Made in Italy craftsmanship in the fashion and design sector, will present the exhibition “La figura di Salvatore Ferragamo tra arte e moda” (“The Figure of Salvatore Ferragamo, between Art and Fashion”), which combines art, fashion and design in a project involving four museums in Florence (Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale, Galleria del Costume e Galleria d’Arte Moderna in Palazzo Pitti, Museo Marino Marini) and the Museo del Tessuto in Prato.
