The Consulate General of Italy in Istanbul, the Italian Cultural Institute and ICE (the Italian Trade Agency) will celebrate, within the framework of the integrated promotion of ‘Made in Italy’ and ‘Living Italian Style’, the first edition of the Italian Design Day. The event will be launched on March 4 in Bursa, an industrial city near Istanbul, the largest furniture making district in Turkey. Italian Designer Alessandra Baldereschi will participate in the conference entitled “I am Design”. The event will be hosted by the Turkish association of furniture manufacturers, and will be attended by other representatives of Italian Design, who attended Milan’s Domus Academy.
Following her training at art schools, Alessandra Baldereschi achieved, in 2000, a Master’s Degree in Industrial Design at Domus Academy in Milan. She has participated in major design events such as the Biennial in Saint Etienne, Inside Design Amsterdam, Design Festival in Seoul and the Moss Gallery in New York. Ms Baldereschi also participated in several editions of Milan’s Salone Satellite, namely in 2002, 2003 and 2004. In 2010, she was nominated as one of the 10 best designers of the new generation of AD Spain. Alessandra Baldereschi’s Studio currently works for major design brands.
