Cooperation in Guatemala rebuilding homes

Through the Italian Cooperation’s “Ran Guatemala” emergency relief programme, the Embassy of Italy in Guatemala City on 24 February officially delivered 8 homes rebuilt in safe places following the disaster caused in 2010 by hurricane Agatha. The programme is funding 12 projects aimed at reducing the exposure to food, nutritional and environmental insecurity of the weakest segments of the Guatemalan society (women and children first), and those most affected by the malnutrition and devastation caused by that last two rainy seasons (2010-2011).
