Nepal earthquake: Crisis Unit identifies the last Italians reported missing and not yet traced

The Farnesina’s Crisis Unit has managed to identify the last Italians reported as missing in the Nepal earthquake and not yet traced. The constant monitoring of the situation by the Unit and by our Embassy in New Delhi and the Consulate General in Calcutta continues, so that they are ready for any new developments.

The bodies of Oskar Piazza and Gigliola Mancinelli have now arrived in Italy, while the search continues for Marco Pojer and Renzo Benedetti. Staff from the Crisis Unit and the Department of Civil Protection are leaving for Nepal to follow more closely the operations to find and recover the bodies of the two Italian nationals.
