Flooding in Nepal: Foreign Ministry at work to provide assistance to Italian citizens

Following the violent flooding in Nepal, the Foreign Ministry, through its Crisis Unit and the Consulate General in Calcutta, immediately got to work to provide the best possible assistance to the Italians affected.

The Foreign Ministry is in constant contact with the local authorities and several Italian citizens have already been brought to safety by local forces. These include a 3-member family that was at the Landmark Hotel and a group of 10 Italians staying at the Parkside Hotel. Also the Italian woman that was reported staying at the Rainbow Safari Resort has been brought to safety.
